I was disappointed with this product due to LOUD noise and EXTREMELY bright light generated from AeroGarden. The photo is VERY deceptive on how thick and "plush" the garden grows....I did not have that luck.

Buyer Beware
I'm the contented owner of several other Aerogardens. I have three in my kitchen right now that I am very happy with, and I've comfortably given multiple away as gifts.
This is my first experience with one of the 3 pod units. Yes, it is less expensive than the other units, but the entire look of it is MUCH cheaper. In comparison to the cost/value ratio of all the other units, this just doesn't cut it at all. It doesn't go together well. It feels cheap. Strange discolorations occur from small bits of water seeping places where it never has on other units.
The overall look is cute in photos, but in person it just looks so cheap in comparison to their other products. I also really wish the light time schedule could be adjusted the way the classic unit does, but this unit only cycles based on the time it was plugged in. This fact can be found on the website, so it isn't really a matter of misrepresentation. I was under the impression that it was mainly a difference in size and form, I didn't know from top level reading of the product description that it would suffer from differences in function too.
When it arrived, out of the box, it didn't work, and was cosmetically flawed. They were non-responsive to the cosmetic flaw complaint, but tried to send a replacement part to fix the intermittent light problem. That replacement didn't solve the problem, so a different part needed to be sent. Unfortunately neither of these replacements for function happened to replace the cosmetic flaw part.
Eventually, a month and a half after purchase, I had a working Aerogarden, but by then the plants were not in good shape. The one that didn't germinate at all was replaced, but the other two just failed to thrive, which is no surprise considering how bad the first 6 weeks they were attempting to grow was. One of the eventually succumbed to mold.
Now 3 months after purchase I am buying another pod kit, to try to achieve the look of a unit with 3 successfully blooming plants.
I LOVE all my other Aerogardens, but definitely give the 3 pod setup a thumbs down. I wish I hadn't purchased it.

Aerogarden is a great product and is useful if you have no means to get fresh herbs. The problem is that the replacement seed pods are very expensive and it would be easier and cheaper just to buy them at the store.
Stopped Working After a Few Weeks February 5, 2010

I would love this product if it hadn't stopped working within 3 weeks of receiving it. Things seemed to be going well but after a few weeks the light turned off and never came back on. Made a call to customer service and they said they would send a replacement for the lightbulb and the herb pods which died without the light for a few days...replacements were never sent.
The light now comes on and off but not consistently...Maybe I just have a faulty machine but I guess I will never know.

Bought this as a birthday gift for my wife, she loves it. The plants didn't sprout quite as amazingly as in the picture, though.
