The Thermo Cube is a unique, patented electrical device that plugs into a standard 15 amp electrical outlet and turns power on automatically according to outside air temperature, saving money by using power only when temperatures require heating or cooling. There are five models available with different temperature ranges to choose from. Each unit has two receptacles for use with more than one electrical device. Warm weather model TC-21 turns on at 78°F, off at 70°F and is ideal for all types of home and farm fans: window, ceiling, exhaust, ventilators, attic and roof. This item really works great. I put it in my RV and hooked it up to a space heater. When it gets cold it comes on and keeps the RV from freezing and then turns off. Never got below 33 degrees. I can leave it and don't have to keep running out and turning the heater on and off. Saves a bunch of money because I would forget about the heater for a few days.

I bought this product to protect two palms (in different areas of yard) from sub-30 degree temps. Only one of the units work, and that was a problem because you only find that out when the temperature drops so make sure to have a backup plan in case the outlet doesn't work.

So far so good. We have the heated water bowl plugged in to this. One bowl is in our breezeway for our cat and the other bowl is on the deck for the birds and squirrels....and even in our cold north Ohio winter, everyone has water to drink! I liked the suggestion to plug a small night light into this to know for sure it turns on when it gets cold.
