My contractor also did not put a pressure relief valve in so any time I loose water pressure and air builds up in the line I need to remove it and purge the line. A bit of a pain but I deal with it.
However, the last time I removed it I lost the O-Ring. I have contacted Laing at least 6 times trying to get a replacement or at least find out what size the O-Ring is so I can buy a replacement elsewhere. Over two months now and no luck. They do not have a parts department and they are not responsive. For those reasons I suggest you buy a different brand pump.
